ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN

Requires 3-5 years experience in field and experience with Hand Tools, Forklift. Under the direction of the Production Group Leader, Technician will perform tasks as necessary in the fabrication and assembly of company products and equipment. Will perform all assigned duties in compliance with all company and safety policies and procedures.

Work from drawings in the layout and fit-up of various electrical components in the assembly of panels for power supply and controls. Interpret schematic diagram information into point to point connections with cabinets and panels. Ability to use shop equipment such as hand tools, drill press, hand grinder or band saw to complete the assembly. Complete wiring of panels and their assembly into cabinets or housings with interconnection of such devices. Work from drawings to embed wiring within mechanical equipment such as reactors, towers, lamp racks, and filter assemblies. Provide feedback on parts shortages, and component or design changes that allows for correction to bills of materials or drawings. May assist in problem solving design issues and may perform quality checks to ensure proper fit of machined parts. Complete final level assemblies, fabrication or layout of UV equipment including reactors, towers, open channel racks, collimated beams, and chemical delivery skids. Review assembly drawings as they are received from engineering for errors and may initiate change orders. May travel to customer sites in support of company field service department. Ensures complete compliance with quality inspections.

Detailed knowledge of power utilization equipment and application considerations including the various types of switchgear, capacitors, breakers, transformers, CT/VTs, arrestors, and disconnect switches is required.
